Welcome, Bishop Davies

We welcome the Right Reverend Mark Davies to St. Peter Church as he celebrates the 10:00 Mass this Sunday Nov. 6th.  Bishop Davies is the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of Shrewsbury in England.  He was born in 1959 in Manchester, England and was ordained to the priesthood in 1984.  In December 2009, he was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI as the Coadjutor Bishop of Shrewsbury.  He was ordained to the episcopacy on Feb. 22, 2010 and succeeded Bishop Brian Noble as the Bishop of Shrewsbury on Oct. 1, 2010.  We are privileged to have Bishop Davies celebrate Mass at St. Peter this Sunday.
